Discrimination/Labor
Our expertise in labor economics and our practical experience with very large and complex employee databases are highly valued by our clients. Our professional staff is anchored by established and respected labor economists from The University of Chicago and other premier academic institutions, who have made seminal contributions to many important areas of academic scholarship on issues critical to analyzing employment disputes.
Navigant Economics conducts analyses and provides expert testimony in wage and hour, employment discrimination, FLSA classification, and various other national and local labor matters. Our experts have testified in employment matters involving a broad spectrum of industries and markets, including pharmacy, technology, home improvement, grocery, manufacturing, and utilities. We have analyzed claims of age, gender and racial discrimination in hiring, firing, and promotion decisions and have assisted companies in evaluating the impact of their employment practices and thereby anticipating (and avoiding) potential legal claims. In addition, we have experience analyzing claims of lending and insurance discrimination.
We have been retained by many very large (Fortune 500) companies to analyze their complex HR databases containing millions of observations on hundreds of thousands of employees. We also have experience working with large sales and assignment databases to assist clients in better understanding the relationship between employee performance and compensation.
