Consumer Protection

Navigant Economics provides analyses of consumer protection issues in a wide variety of contexts, including Federal and state regulatory proceedings and government and private litigation. We possess expertise in analyzing unfair and deceptive advertising, consumer privacy, service quality issues and consumer finance and credit.

Our experts have served in senior positions at the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Federal Trade Commission and other major consumer protection regulatory agencies. We have experience analyzing consumer protection issues that arise under key statutes such as the Federal Trade Commission Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Child Online Protection Act, the Communications Act, and a variety of state regulatory statutes, and we have testified on consumer protection issues in Federal and state courts and before both Federal and state regulatory commissions.
